Your own guess; a professional determines the actual category.

Where does the $1,500–$5,000 example apply?
Save The Day Restoration publishes $1,500–$5,000 for minor one-room clean-water damage in Los Angeles and Orange counties and cites a $500–$1,500 initial service minimum there. The seller's service-area example is not a Corona rate. HomeAdvisor lists national square-foot ranges of $3–$4 clean, $4–$6.50 gray and $7–$7.50 highly contaminated; these are not an address quote either.
What arithmetic does the calculator perform?
Use an already known affected floor area from 10 to 5,000 square feet. Select provisional clean [3,4], gray [4,6.5], high [7,7.5] or unknown [3,7.5] dollars per square foot. The lower base is max(area × low rate, $500), and the upper base max(area × high rate, $1,500). Add selected material repairs first; round the final lower total down and upper total up to a $100 boundary. The initial floors and unknown band are editorial model choices, not a sourced Corona price.
What can be included as optional material work?
For optional repairs, HomeAdvisor's national guide gives $450–$1,600 for ceilings and $300–$850 for drywall. Save The Day's neighboring-county commercial guide separates carpet removal $2–$4 plus replacement $4–$12 per square foot and hardwood removal $4–$8 plus replacement $8–$20 or more. This site's sums are carpet $6–$16 and hardwood $12–$28 or more; areas cannot overlap or exceed affected floor area. Check whether a provider's scope already contains these items.
What should not be expected from the result?
No water category is diagnosed, no insulation or equipment cost is included, and no insurance payment or contractor availability is implied. Calculations stay in the browser, without a form. Seek a written property estimate and use the scope checklist for comparison.
