What does the City say about public storm drains?

Corona's stormwater page explains that storm drains release runoff untreated toward flood-control channels and waterways, while indoor sewer drains have a different route. The page also names Riverside County Flood Control as principal permittee in its regional stormwater program. Neither statement identifies the cause of water inside any house.

How can a property's flood-zone question be checked?

The City of Corona flood-information page offers help with an individual property inquiry. FEMA's Map Service Center provides official flood-hazard products and address search. No address was submitted in preparing this page; none of these five ZIPs is labeled safe or at risk here.

Why separate public drainage from a private loss?

A storm drain's route is not a diagnosis of a window, tank or appliance. Use the service guides for observed materials and the insurance guide for policy questions.

Stay away from the affected area, do not touch electrical switches, outlets or appliances near water, and call a professional. If anyone is in danger, leave the area and call 911.
